Comtense CAD Software supports a wide range of peripheral devices such as digitizers, plotters (plotting and cutting) and apparel CNC-cutters.

Indeed, any pattern can be designed in computer using our “Graphics Editor” or  “AB OVO” software. However, if a company has certain amount of “hard copy” patterns and their further use is necessary, it would be easier and quicker to digitize the patterns into a computer by means of a digitizer. For large-size patterns such as there are in coat and pants designs, large-format digitizers are needed. Therefore, many Apparel CAD systems include A0 or A0+ format digitizers. After patterns are digitized into a computer, all necessary operations such as grading or shape correction can be done in computer using Pattern Creator, and Graphics Editor. Pattern Creator allows digitizing large-size patterns in two steps digitizing half of a piece in each step, and then automatically joining the halves. Most of the digitizers currently available at the market have sufficient precision, so the most important parameters of a digitizer become its usable dimensions, reliability and, not the last, its price.
